Following the birthday bash on Sunday we caught up with Lynda and Dave and went to the Noodle Bar in Colchester.

The very busy month of October started with me cooking a roast dinner for the family to celebrate Hilary's Birthday.

Its a bit late but had to get the internet up and running back at the cottage now The Maisibert is back at Brinklow on winter moorings.

Sue and Dave returned home yesterday so the sun sets on our summer trip and we prepare the boat to be put on the pontoon for the winter.

For our last evening in Coventry we went into the city for a meal.

Whilst we were in the Music Museum we were informed there was a Plaque dedicated to the photographers took iconic photo's for the first two Specials albums in the basin.

Whilst the girls went shopping Dave and I paid a visit to the Coventry Music Museum when we were asked to star on their Facebook Page.

Coventry is famous for a few stars but one the groups of the seventies was Lieutenant Pigeon with Mouldy Old Dough.

Thursday we moved on to Coventry Basin where Sue,Dave and Hilary visited the old and new Cathedrals.

Tuesday evening Dave and Sue joined us and the following day we travelled to Hawkesbury Junction to have an evening meal in the pub.

Moved on to Rugby today just as we went under a bridge to enter the busiest area for moored boats we got something on the prop. and lost all power and no steering.

So had to use a hire boat which was tying up on the water point to stop and clear the prop.

We have a few days spare and have taken a short trip to Hilmorton, Hilary popped into the local Church to sign the Book of Remembrance in memory of the Queen.

Today we have cruised just passed Clifton Cruisers as we have a few days before Sue and Dave join us, Cassie joined me for lunch at the table in the cratch.
 

We went to the Rock Resturant to celebrate Nicks birthday where you cook your meats at the table on a very hot slate.

Wednesday we had a two and half hour trip down the cut with Jackie and Nick before going out to celebrate Nicks birthday.

Tuesday Jackie and Nick came to visit and it was a drink in the Merchant Inn before a Mexican meal, Hilary took the first picture without them knowing.
