Last night we moored in Atherstone  halfway up a set of eleven locks.
So this morning we had to face five locks straight away.

We are now on our journey to the marina where the boat will be moored for winter.

Last Sunday Helen,Tim and Heather joined us for the day and helped us cruise from Nottingham to Trent Lock.
The following day Peter and Dianne joined us for a ten day cruise and tonight we are moored in Alrewas.

Whilst we have been on our own I have been practising making pastry I have a long way to go to get it like mum made
Once again the moorings in Newark looked better at night.
On our return trip to Nottingham we experienced high winds having to prepare for storm force winds for one night.

After a large Windows update which used all our data which meant I have not been able to update the blog.
After Craig left us we left Nottingham and headed to Newark where we stayed for a couple of days.

Craig has cruised us on to Nottingham where after pint in the ye olde trip to Jerusalem we said our goodbyes at the station.

On Friday we said our goodbyes to Peter and Diane so Thursday night we had meal in the Trent Lock Pub.

Craig has cruised us down the Trent and Mersea Canal taking in the smallest bridge and down the deepest lock on the canal.

The last few weeks Peter and I been practising our pastry making skills.
So I have been following recipes from a Mrs Beeton's book which mum owned.
