The last two days I have finished putting up Elaine's fence.

It has been a busy last few days, Thursday Diane and Peter came to stay, the following day we took Diane and Peter on a trip down memory lane by taking them to Colchester where they both once taught followed by a meal in The Shed in Mersea.
Ray and Sacha joined us for a BBQ in the evening and we finished their visit with a trip to the Crick Show on Saturday .

Early Monday morning the boat was taken into dry dock for blacking and new anodes.

Last Saturday Sue and Andy came for a visit and took the boat for a four hour cruise before returning to Burton for a Thai meal in the evening.

We got to the marina just over week ago to discover that perhaps our neighbours might feed the birds.
The following day we started our journey to get the boat blacked at Burton on Trent.

Happy birthday Cassie nine today.

Whilst we are waiting for Peter to have his boat painted and that we have a mooring in a marina I have taken the opportunity to carry out work at the property that I rent out.
Also to do fencing for Claire and Craig's mum.

For our last night in Scotland we stayed in the same B&B  as we travelled up in Ecclefechan and after a couple pints in the local hotel we fell in bed for a well earned kip.
After a fantastic full English breakfast we started our long journey home.

On our trip back we decided to drop off to see the Falkirk Wheel and the Kelpie Statues.
When we arrived it was decided that we needed to do the boat trip to get the full experience of the Falkirk Wheel.

It was decided before we travelled to Scotland was that we had to taste Haggis, Neaps and Tatties which we did in a few guises and also a distillery.
Both of which we did also visiting Loch Ness, Mallaige and the memorial dedicated to the commando's lost in various battles.
