Up to date picture of our crew member number 5
As we left Pitstone today we shared most of the locks today with Craig and Scott who had hired a boat for the weekend.
With their help we have managed to get to just outside Fenny Stratford.
Hope you lads managed to see the bridge where the Great Train Robbery took place, and enjoyed your lunch in the pub.

Whilst we were moored at Pitstone Wharf we caught up with Hilary's cousin Carol, Phil, Daughter Sam, Granddaughter Molly and Lexie the dog.
We had a buffet lunch and a catch up on more of Hilary's family history.
The moon last night was getting ready for the blood moon Sunday/Monday

An early start this morning as we left a sunny Berkhampstead to moor at the Marple Flight tonight.
Hoping to see some Kingfisher's in the Tring Cutting today but only saw the solitary heron

Thursday, 24 September 2015

Today we travelled into Berkhampstead, Hilary once again doing most of the cruising.
It made a change to stay dry despite a wet start to the day.

Wednesday, 23 September 2015

Yesterday Hilary took the controls as we left Rickmansworth and travelled  to the outskirts of Kings Langley.
Today now the leg is 95% healed I have taken my turn on the tiller as we are now moored at Winkwell swing bridge.

Monday, 21 September 2015

Hilary was queen of the tiller today and cruised us to Rickmansworth, I have said now I can take a few more days off in the future.
Decided that the leg wasn't going to heal before the tablets run out so managed to get an appointment at a doctors tonight and he confirmed things were going in the right direction and prescribed another 10 days of tablets

Sunday, 20 September 2015

Today we left Paddington after resting the leg for a couple of days, we needed to move on to get to Northampton to meet friends.
As the leg was not up to the journey Tim offered his services again and has cruised us from Paddington to Denham Deep Lock, this has allowed me to rest the leg most of the day.

We arranged for Tim to help us cruise from Ponders End to Paddington Basin on Thursday, woke early as it was going to be a long day.
Thought I just felt cold from a chilly previous night only to realise that it was the start of another bout of Cellulitis, lucky antibiotics on board but it still meant that I would not be any help all day.

Wednesday, 16 September 2015

As we left Waltham Abbey the World White Water games started with the crowds starting to turn up.
We managed to moor at Ponder's End before the deluge of rain started.
Later in the afternoon this bank of weed floated pass, one to lookout for tomorrow.

Well we are off on our journey back to Burton on Trent.
