We had a speedy cruise up the final Marsworth Flight locks with the help of a volunteer lock keeper.
We travelled through Tring Cutting without seeing a kingfisher.

.
Whilst we were moored at Milton Keynes Caroline and James visited, we spent the afternoon in the shopping centre and they had turned an area into a beach.
We are meeting Ray in Berkhampstead at the weekend so we have had to speed up a bit.

Tuesday, 28 July 2015

We are now moored in Milton Keynes after stopping off in Wolverton for supplies.
Today I purchased all I required for Claire and Darren's wedding at the end of August.
M.K. turned the centre of the shopping area into a indoor beach.

We left Stowe Hill late on Thursday and moved to Nether Heyford because of the weather warnings.
Yesterday we sat out the bad weather and moved on this afternoon to Yardley Gobion.
We got through Blisworth Tunnel without meeting a boat also boats were coming up Stoke Bruerne locks which made the passage down the locks easier.
Tonight we used the cratch area with the side curtains up to take in the sun.

Today Diane and Peter left us at Stowe Hill to head back to Pillings Marina.

Tuesday, 21 July 2015

Tomorrow we say goodbye to Diane and Peter as they head off to their moorings at Pillings as we turn around and head to Essex for my daughter's wedding.
Tonight we took Cassie across the golden corn fields at Stowe Hill.

We breasted the two boats up on Sunday to complete most of the locks on the Stoke Bruerne flight which gave us a couple of extra hands to help with the heavy gates and paddles.

Phil had his first trip through Blisworth Tunnel where he experienced meeting several  boats cruising in the opposite direction.
Time to update the Blog as it hasn't been done as my brother Phil has been aboard the last few days.
We picked Phil up at Campbell Park and he has helped us get to Stowe Hill where he left us today.

Monday, 13 July 2015

We have officially left London as we are the wrong side of the M25.
So need to eat healthy now as the double locks of the Grand Union face us.

Friday, 10 July 2015

Tonight we are moored near North Grove Lock and Cassie had to wait for her walk with disgust.

Wednesday, 8 July 2015

Last night we moored at Bulls Bridge and as it was Craig's last night with us it was agreed that we would go for an Indian in Southall.
We went to a restaurant called Brilliant which we went to two years ago.

On our walk back to Paddington Basin we paid a visit to Primrose Hill to take in the view.

On our last full day in Paddington Basin we visited Camden Market where we tasted food from all around the world finishing the day with a visit to the pub.

Sunday, 5 July 2015

After the rain cleared and we had watched the Grand Prix we took another stroll around Hyde Park through a busy Speaker's Corner to Princess Diana's Memorial.

We had very early start to make our way to Paddington Basin only to find the only mooring was where they had put an air agitation pipe to keep the weed out of the Basin.
It sounded like being in a Jaquzzi but later in the evening we were able move on to a different mooring.

Yesterday Sue and Dave came to visit us so after a lunch in Lena's Café we  had a walk around Hyde Park.
The evening was spent trying out the Sloe wine and good conversation.
