As we left Gloucester today we met one of the tall ships returning to Gloucester.
She was so graceful in the water and made us look so small.

 Gloucester Docks at night.

These are a few pictures that Peter took as we travelled along the Severn and arriving in Gloucester.

We have spent the last couple of days in Gloucester, I hope Claire and Craig remember our visit the Waterway Museum.

Monday, 25 May 2015

Due to the tall ships being in Gloucester Docks we had a late start and a slow trip to Gloucester.
At one point Plan B and us was just cruising side by side holding a conversion.
We were held up in the lock which took us up into the dock whilst the last events finished.
There was the large, small and unusual.

We were planning to moor Upton on Severn but all the moorings were taken so we cruised off the Severn and tonight we are moored in Tewkesbury on the Avon

Friday, 22 May 2015

Today we have moored in Diglis Basin in Worcester and have cooked lunch for Hilary's parents also spent the evening with Diane and Peter.

Thursday, 21 May 2015

Today we started our journey along the River Severn to Worcester.
It was new waters to us after the entrance to the  Droitwich Canal.

Yesterday we moored in Stourport Basin where we met up with Rita and Scooby and all went out for a Indian meal.

Wednesday, 20 May 2015

On our trip we have experienced some different situations where the canal has had to be cut through and around rock.

After the Bratch we did encounter a couple on very deep staircase locks
We got to the Bratch Locks on a quiet day and was allowed to go through straight away.
Bratch Locks look like stair case locks but are in fact three separate locks in a row which are manned by C.A.R.T. staff and volunteers.

We have stopped off in Penkridge and stayed in Compton where we met friends Cherry and Neil where we sampled fish and orange chips and had a evening in the pub.

I have not been able to update the blog as our data usage was used up sorting problems with McAfee on our laptop.
After leaving Tixall Wide we have continued our journey along the Staffs and Worcester

Tuesday, 12 May 2015

Today we arrived at Tixal Wide where the wind was blowing so hard that we had trouble mooring.
Peter got caught side on to the wind that even with a bow thruster he didn't manage to moor facing the right direction.

Today we left Alrewas to be held up at the locks at Fradley Junction where there was six boats waiting to go through the locks.
