Tonight we are moored at Denham deep lock, passing Barolo on her moorings today.
We are now preparing to enter the city.

Hilary's cousin Jan from Tasmania joined us at Tring and left us at Kings Langley after Jan and Hilary visited Hilary's parents in Worcester.

Tuesday, 22 July 2014

Yesterday we met up with Ginny and Bill from Wilver at Seabrook Lock.
Today we have moved up the Marsworth Flight to moor at Bulbourne Junction passing the pictured boats.

We all would like to say to our niece Sacha well done for completing the Race for Life with her friend to raise cash for charity.
Today was Craig's last day as he had to return to Braintree but hopefully he will join us again soon.
As we travelled down the Stoke Bruerne locks the girls showed off their tiller skills and Jules was waiting at the bottom to supply us with much needed fuel.
Fuel on the rivers was few and far between and also costly.

After we all had endured the Northampton Arm John and Jackie joined us at Gayton and took us all to the pub for a very enjoyable evening which was deserved by all.

On the Monday we endured the Northampton Arm, in the first lock Dave and Yvonne's boat got jammed in the first lock by a log which we had to cut with a saw.
Then their cat managed to escape so they had to hold back whilst they got it back on the boat.
So we carried on only to find that the last six pounds had no water and had send water down from the Grand Union.
Tonight is catch up night as we have had Craig aboard for the week.
Before we could pick him up at Northampton we had to wait for a Chinese Boat Race to complete before we could enter the Northampton Marina

Wednesday, 9 July 2014

Tonight we are moored at Elton Lock on some bank side moorings and if the old saying "red sky at night Shepard's delight" is to be believed we are in for a good day tomorrow.
Having left Ferry Meadows Yesterday we cruised on to Wansford Station where this morning everybody apart from myself took a trip on the Nene Valley Railway as it was a steam day.

We came off the Middle Levels on Friday stopping in Peterborough where Baz and Mags have joined Yvonne and Dave for the week.
Pauline also joined us on Monday to cruise the boat to Ferry Meadows.

Friday, 4 July 2014

Tonight we are moored in Whittlesey and we had our first BBQ of the year, Dave and I shared the cooking and we managed to complete it before the rain set in.

Thursday, 3 July 2014

We are now in March where Cassie has had a haircut and Yvonne and Dave have caught up with us.
Whilst waiting for Cassie I took a walk down the road and saw poppies in a field which reminded me of my childhood days.

Tuesday, 1 July 2014

We have had poor signal the last couple of days so to catch up we have now left the Ouse through the Denver Sluice( Monday)
We have chewed our way along the Middle Level as they have not pumped the water into the channel.
We are now moored in March as we waited at the lock a peahen came crashing into the tree's.
