 What a difference a few hours make, Helen.Tim and Heather came to visit and when they arrived it was pouring down with rain.
But within the hour we started our trip up the River Wissey, but we didn't quite have the BBQ as planned.

Last couple of days we have spent in Brandon picking up supplies and diesel.
Lunch time we met Lin and Frank in the Ship at the end of Brandon Creek.

 Lin and Frank couldn't make it today so we travelled to Brandon Lock.
The first picture shows a property on Brandon Creek taken in Jan.2004 and the second shows it still standing today but only just.
The third picture shows we were warned about Crocs in the water and certainly saw them.

Tonight we are moored at Littleport after spending last night with Lester who cooked us a five course meal and today meeting Caroline and James for lunch in Ely.
We moved on from Ely as we are meeting Lin and Frank in the Ship at the beginning of Brandon Creek tomorrow.

Today we discovered a little more St Ives whilst we waited for Yvonne and Dave's daughter and son in  law to arrive before we continued our journey to West View Marina moorings.

We cruised on to Hemingford Grey today where Trish and Brian happened to be in their camper van in the grounds of Hemingford Mill.
This gave us a chance to have a meal and a few drinks together.

Once again we have we have returned to St. Neots mooring on the park side.
Had to go shopping for items for the six gallons of Elder flower wine that is currently fermenting.

Tonight we are moored Great Barford on G.O.B.A. moorings opposite the The Anchor pub.
Being so close we just had to pop in for Sunday Lunch, also Cassie got her own paddling area.


 Spending Friday night and Saturday in Priory marina in Bedford.
This morning we tackled Castle Mill Lock the deepest lock on the system.

Catching up on the Blog today, as we left St Neots on Friday we saw  this boat with a proper roof garden.

Tonight we are moored on the pontoon in Saint Neots , we have travelled six hours to get here but the scenery certainly made a change from the straight ditches.

Yesterday we picked up Lin and Frank from the Five Miles from No Where, after having lunch in the pub we had a trip to Ely on the boat.

 Thanks to everyone for my birthday wishes today, we celebrated my birthday with a lunch at Claire's and Darren's.
Tonight we are back on the boat at the Fish and Duck Marina near Ely.
This week we have been back to Essex to meet Poppy May and spend some quality time with Maisie.
