Early night for us tonight and hoping for some sun tomorrow.

A very wet day as we travelled to Lime House before we set off on our tidal trip.

Sunday, 28 July 2013

It was great to see Nicky, Andy and family today considering that they only returned from holiday on Friday.

Getting ready for the tidal on Wednesday at 5.30am by ensuring that the diesel and water tanks are full.

Today we had a visit from Lynda and Maureen and after lunch we took a walk up Primrose Hill.
We are still squeezed up in Little Venice as they have taken moorings out of use here and in Paddington Basin.
We are here until Tuesday when we will travel to Limehouse before doing the tidal Thames at 5.30am on Wednesday.

Tuesday was when Hilary went to have her hair done when two busker's got on the underground.
The afternoon was spent in the National Army Museum and a walk back across Hyde Park.

On Monday night Peter and I thought we would try the chickens feet.
Even the waitress asked if we were sure that we wanted to try them.

The wait is over although the baby was not born at the time off taking this photograph.
Last night we went for a Dim Sum in Camden Market.

Now that we are moored near Paddington we have witnessed the Press madness over the royal baby.
The first photograph shows the press waiting for the arrival and had been there for weeks.

This weekend we had my brother Phil aboard and he helped us to cruise from Brentford to Little Venice.

Leaving the Thames

Today we left the Thames and entered Brentford the sign was missing for Brentford so I nearly missed the turning for the Thames Lock.
As we travelled down we saw a couple of boats left over from the Queens procession.

Hampton Court

We are currently moored outside Hampton Court where Peter decided to cool off and take a dip in the Thames.

Monday, 15 July 2013

Yesterday Heather and Tim came to see us and to take Craig home to Essex but not before we had a meal on the towpath as we were not allowed to have a BBQ on the moorings.
Then we visited the site of the signing of the Magna Carta.

The Royal Barge

We have passed the royal barge on its moorings, obviously repaired after hitting a bridge and having been rescued by the R.N.L.I.

Grand Designs

On our travels this week we have passed the house that was featured on Grand Designs, although it was a nice property it did stick out like a sore thumb.

As we Leave Henley

We called into Henley today and afterwards we cruised the course as it was Henley Regatta last week.

From the K.A. to the Thames

Craig joined us on Saturday and has cruised us off the K.A. taking us just before Henley last night where Peter cooked the BBQ.

Upon leaving Kintbury this morning we helped the horse drawn boat up the lock.
Tonight we are moored back in Newbury awaiting the arrival of Craig.

Leaving Hungerford

Yesterday Dianne and Peter's son and grandson came to have a quick trip on the boat before we left Hungerford only to be cut short due too C.A.R.T. carrying out repairs to a lock.

Moored at Hungerford

We are now at Hungerford and Dianne and Peter saw their new granchild yesterday.
Peter fitted the third new alternator today and it is now working properly.
I have carried out more repairs to the cratch board today and it is gradually getting back to normal.
