As we travelled on today the news came through that Dianne and Peter had a new grandson.
So after mooring it was time to wet the babies head.

Leaving Reading in bright sunshine yesterday to head to Hungerford for the birth of Dianne's and and Peter's grandchild.
Going through the distinctive locks of the K.A.

Friday, 28 June 2013

Peter has fitted a new alternator and it has nearly cured his problems so tonight we have moored just outside the prison and taken him and Dianne to the pub.
The moorings are just to the left of the large building in the background.

Thursday, 27 June 2013

Yvonne and David leaving Beale Park moorings as we wait for Peter and Dianne  as they are still having alternator problems.
Below Cassie enjoys the sun while we wait.

Tuesday, 25 June 2013

Yesterday Plan B had alternator problems as we headed for Wallingford and we also caught up with Yvonne and Dave on Barolo.
When  I had to make sponge cakes at Yvonne's request,

On leaving Oxford today we were met by the rowing fraternity in all types of craft.
Last night we managed get moored outside the Punter Pub in Oxford.
We had a great meal and a few drinks, finishing the evening on Plan B.

Friday night is curry night and in the sun shine of last night we had a curry made by Peter,a dessert made by myself and drinks supplied by Kath and Richard.

The day started well with a walk around Lechlade, even the ducks were pleased to see us whilst we watered up.
Then we wiped out the cratch board on a lock which required several hours of repairs.
Yet the day ended with a beautiful sunset and the mist on the Thames

Wednesday, 19 June 2013

Tonight we are moored on the edge of a field full of cows which Cassie hates.
This afternoon we visited the Christmas Shop and walked to the round house.

We stopped over last night on some pub moorings and celebrated Diannes 60th and Kath and Richard's wedding anniversary.
Today we had to work a couple of locks ourselves.
We have travelled to Lechlade Dianne, Peter, Kath Richard taking the locks in their stride.

Today the Thames beckoned and it made a change to get some deep water under the boat.

Monday, 17 June 2013

Before we set off on the Thames we had a couple splicing lessons to protect the boats.

Sunday, 16 June 2013

Craig left us today but not before we had a wonder around and passing the castle.
Tomorrow we head for the Thames and Lechlade.
Craig joined us this weekend in Oxford and joined in the celebration of Diannes 60th birthday.

Saturday, 15 June 2013

Yesterday we made our way to just before Thrupp travelling through some very deep locks,
Things then started to go wrong firstly the pipe split on basin in the bathroom flooding the floor followed by scratching the boat on a branch and then Cassie falling off the back of the boat.

Wednesday, 12 June 2013

We have spent the last two days in Banbury moving on today.
The top picture shows one of the many lift bridges on the Oxford but luckily they were all in the raised position.
The bottom picture shows a raven that may have been tame as it stuck around the lock as we went down.

Sunday, 9 June 2013

Today started with a fuzzy head as we had a BBQ on the towpath for my birthday yesterday with a visit to the pub in the evening, it was great that Sacha and Ray came up for the day.

Friday, 7 June 2013

Hooray the sun shone all day today but started with a chilly wind.
As Hilary cruised the boat through the Napton locks which gave me a chance to work the locks.

Wednesday, 5 June 2013

This morning started with a long wait at the top of Watford Locks, still it gave us time to water up.
The lock keeper warned me to keep the boat forward as the locks leaked badly and he was not kidding.
Yesterday we reached Crick on a sunny but cold day, meeting up with Kath and Richard.
Last night we had a get together on the boat were the wine flowed freely.

Monday, 3 June 2013

We have stayed on the moorings at the end of the Welford Arm to carry out work to both boats and to have a BBQ at lunch time whilst the sun shone.

Sunday, 2 June 2013

Leaving Market Harborough today in what we thought was going to be bright sunshine, but we were soon proven wrong as Hilary had three changes of clothes as she started out with shorts and tee shirt to end up in jeans and a coat.
But as we reached Foxton Locks the sun shone again.
Yesterday we had coffee with Jo and Keith off Hadar, sitting in the sun on the quay side was a great change.
