Today we cruised back into England and tomorrow the towpath changes so tonight it was a chance to wash the boat hoping to wash the other side tomorrow.
The neighbours on the opposite side kept their eye on me all the time.

Bit of a suprise waking up to rain hitting the boat.

Before Craig made his ardous journey back to Essex we treated him to a fried breakfast in a local cafe with great views across the town.

As it was Craig's last evening we had a great meal in The Corn Mill.

On Friday we arrived at the end of the Langollen completing Craig's journey, it was then a walk to the Horseshoe falls with a beer or two on the way back.

To get to Trevor Basin we had to cross the Pontcysyllte Aquaduct, we also walked it this afternoon.

Today we actually cruised into Wales and tonight we have squeezed into Trevor Basin

Last night we had a our first BBQ of the season at Chirk even though the weather was not the typical BBQ weather.

Thursday, 30 June 2022

Marconi Radar played a big part in the exhibits and when we were kids we lived near their testing area and every time they tested one of these you had a white dot go across your television screen.

After a quick sandwich in N.A.A.F.I. we set off on our tour and it it soon become apparent how large and how far underground the bunker was with exhibits on every floor.

After a lot of undercover searching we bumped into a couple of other boaters who pointed us in the right direction telling us how much they enjoyed there visit.

Came to the locks and there is long wait but there was a whisper that there was a secret bunker and after a lot of secret searching we saw the signs.

Adjustment to the lesuire battery alternator done and a splash of diesel and we set off.
