Marconi Radar played a big part in the exhibits and when we were kids we lived near their testing area and every time they tested one of these you had a white dot go across your television screen.

After a quick sandwich in N.A.A.F.I. we set off on our tour and it it soon become apparent how large and how far underground the bunker was with exhibits on every floor.

After a lot of undercover searching we bumped into a couple of other boaters who pointed us in the right direction telling us how much they enjoyed there visit.

Came to the locks and there is long wait but there was a whisper that there was a secret bunker and after a lot of secret searching we saw the signs.

Adjustment to the lesuire battery alternator done and a splash of diesel and we set off.

Wednesday 29 June 2022

Big step forward today front end of the engine back together and tomorrow morning a slight adjustment on the lesuire battery alternator and pay the bill and we should be away.

Tuesday 28 June 2022

We are still here at Overwater but the engineer has been in and discovered that there was no problem with the throttle the alternator was jamming the throttle lever, so just waiting the delivery of a long reach socket tomorrow to complete the job.

Sunday 26 June 2022

The storm clouds gathered as we set off for Overwater not just in weather wise as I entered the first lock Audlem Locks I had only tickover in forward and just in reverse.
Fifteen locks and a slow pace cruise we arrived at a very friendly marina to wait for the engineer on Tuesday.

At 7am yesterday got up and thought I would look at my phone to check for a delivery time for the parts.
There was 7.35am to 8.35 am and the marina didnt open until 9.30am and I was an hour walk away from the marina, but done it 40mins to be there 20 mins before delivery.

Have not posted lately as we broke down with the same problem after RCR carried out a repair, they failed to help second time so ordered the parts myself to do a temporary repair to get us to Overwater Marina.

Wednesday 22 June 2022

We made it to Market Drayton to restock after our five days in the middle of no where, tomorrow we head off again.

Yesterday we got back underway cruising through some very thin sections of the canal passing some tree stump art.

In normal times it would be a great place to moor but being broken down with poor phone/internet signal and chasing the parts knocked the edge of it.

As we were still waiting for the parts to be delivered and it was Father's Day we booked a meal in the pub that helped us out with having showers and disposing of rubbish

Sunday 19 June 2022

Still waiting for parts from Beta and R.C.R.to fit also had a problem with the engine in tick over so whilst waiting I thought I would investigate, what I found is that the throttle control had come loose as shown in the top picture and shown readjusted in the bottom picture.

Friday 17 June 2022

After Gnosall we moved on to Goldstone only to discover a belt off the Genset on closer inspection to discover that the nut holding the pulleys on to the crankshaft had stripped, so a visit from R.C.R. and now waiting for a part to be delivered.

After several mods I think I have perfected the barrier as Cassie's eyesight is not as good as it was.

After getting Diesel we travelled on Gnosall where we caught up with Cherry and Neil so to the pub for something to eat and a few beers.

After leaving Brewood a quick stop to diesel up at the cheapest place on the cut in Wheaton Aston but even there its £1.33.9 per litre.

Catching up on the updates we stayed Brewood for a two days as we expecting to meet friends but as one was not feeling well so hoped to meet at a later date.

Monday 13 June 2022

We are now cruising on the Shropshire Union Canal which heads toward Chester, tonight we are moored in Brewood.

We passed through my most dreaded part of the Staffs and Worcester it's called by an old boaters name of Pendeford Rockin, it's only a canalboat width with a couple of passing places.

On our trip today we passed some fantastic art in peoples gardens and in motorway bridges.
