The neighbours at tonights moorings the ones on the towpath grazed on the grass by the boat for about an hour.

Last night was the last BBQ for this trip we cancelled Monday as we thought Tuesday would be the better day.
But as we lit the BBQ's the rain started but like true Brit's Peter and I had a couple of beers and the sun shone just as we ate.

We had planned to stay in Cropedy Marina for a couple of days but had to stay for an extra day because of broken beam on a lock.
Today we have moved on to Fenny Compton travelling through Fenny Tunnel which was a originally a tunnel which had to be demolished because of poor foundations which leaves very thin section on the canal.
We also had our first soaking on our trip this year and a large thunder storm.

Normally for Dianne and Peter's Anniversary we would go to a pub or resturant but this year Peter cooked a great meal and we would have had to go along way to find some where with the view.

We have now turned around at Thrupp fighting our way through the public in canoes to return to a nice mooring where we are going to stay for a couple of days.

On Saturday after Cruising for six hours this was the best mooring we could find as the canal is so overgrown that previous places we had moored we couldnt get to.

Tonight we are moored just after Aynho Wharf and we passed through Aynho Weir Lock which is a Diamond Shaped lock.

After spending a couple of nights in Cropedy Marina and replacing the seals on the toilet we moved on to Banbury mooring outside a large Bakery being woken up in the morning to the smell of new baked bread.

Craig joined us for the first week of our summer journey with our first BBQ near Braunston finishing the week with another BBQ and Evening in the pub.
