Yesterday we travelled through the dreaded Braunston Tunnel without meeting another boat coming in the opposite direction and without meeting them on the bends within the tunnel.
Today we travelled on to just outside Rugby ready to travel back to the marina to pick up Craig.

Tuesday, 15 September 2020

Today we had an hour wait before we could travel down the Watford flight to moor tonight at Norton Junction.

Monday evening we attempted to cook homemade pizza's on the Cobb but had to finish the cooking in the oven.
But apart from the finish cooking in the oven the pizza's tasted great.

After stopping off for shopping at Crick on Sunday and then travelling through Crick Tunnel mooring for two days just before Watford Locks for a BBQ night.

Saturday, 12 September 2020

Today we have turned around and started our journey back passing under the A14 mooring tonight with great view across the fields.

We have just travelled bridge to bridge the last couple of days but we are now end of our journey and tomorrow we turn around, we planned to travel down the Welford Arm but there has been a lock that needed repairs.

Tuesday, 8 September 2020

Today moored early afternoon to have a BBQ whilst the sun shone.

Monday, 7 September 2020

Yesterday we thought we would have a long wait at Watford Locks as we arrived there was only one boat in front of us.
Travelled to Crick for shopping via Crick Tunnel on to the other side of Yelvertoft to get a signal for Zooming.

Saturday, 5 September 2020

Today was Baptism of Fire as we tackled the locks to come out of Braunston and travel through Braunston Tunnel.
Very busy with boats especially in the tunnel on the bends but arrived at Norton Junction but not before we had to tow a boat which was stuck.

Friday, 4 September 2020

After returning to the boat we are now heading South on the Grand Union where tonight we had a evening with Jackie and John.

We have had a short trip down the Ashby Canal before we had to return to Essex.

Pandemic, Technical Issues, Funerals have delayed the first cruise this year but we have managed to get away.
