Wednesday we returned from Spain after visiting Sonja and Phil.
We had a week of enjoying various Tapas, a visit to the La Alhambra and beautiful scenary.

We finally made it cold and hungry but now to sort out the problems highlighted by our trip.

Another freezing cold and foggy day as we head back to marina having to share the time at the tiller.
But it wasn't too cold for two birds of prey on top of a boat we passed.

Wednesday, 11 April 2018

We had freezing cold day to cruise off the Ashby to start our way back to the marina.

Tuesday, 10 April 2018

On Monday we met up with Dianne and Peter at Market Bosworth as we started our journey back to the marina.
Tonight we are moored in Hinkley.

Sunday, 8 April 2018

On the walk we came across this marker showing the coal seams and their depths below the canal which was originally used for transporting coal.
So this afternoon we took the dogs for a walk along the course of the canal requiring restoration.
The bottom two pictures is showing where later in the year an aquaduct is going to be built.

We are at the furthest point of our journey we can travel on our boat on the Ashby Canal at this present time.
The Ashby is a canal which is being restored to pass the place where our hull was built.

Today we continued our journey travelling through the Snarestone Tunnel

Saturday, 7 April 2018

Tonight we are moored in Market Bosworth heading on to the current end of the canal tomorrow.

Last night we moored at a little village called Stoke Golding after rescuing a boat that was stuck across the canal, when I saw the church lit up from a distance I had to investigate.

Thursday, 5 April 2018

Today we cruised on to the Ashby  Canal and moored between bridges 6-8 with the view out the windows shown in the photo's below.
