Engine serviced and new fenders fitted for the summer trip

Tonight John and Jackie came to visit us at the boat and we celebrated Halloween with glowing bracelets and  sparklers

On Monday we celebrated Diane's 70th at the Ship in Tiptree.

We have spent this weekend with sue and Dave and today we took the dogs for a walk along Gordon Promenade

Because Maisie dressed as a cat for a Halloween birthday party Poppy decided she would like to dress as a princess.

 Jennie and Mel stayed with us this weekend and we were lucky enough that the weather stayed dry so we could take the dogs for a long walk every day.

 Today we celebrated Maisie's seventh birthday.

This weekend we have had Jennie and Mel stay with us and on Sunday we had lunch at the Bocking Club with Dave and Lynda.

Today we went to Worcester to pay a visit to see Francis.
We enjoyed a cup of tea  and Francis sang some songs.

Last few days we have been at the marina getting the boat ready for the summer trip.

Last Sunday we met the owner one of Ruby's brothers and it was arranged to meet halfway and to take the dogs for a walk.

 Yesterday we said our goodbyes to Hilary's dad.

 Today Rita and Scooby came to visit

With Cassie you can do most anything but Ruby was not going to have it.

The summer trip is officially over as today we arrived in Brinklow Marina.
We now prepare for Hilary's dads funeral on Friday.

 

 Last night we moored in Atherstone  halfway up a set of eleven locks.
So this morning we had to face five locks straight away.

 We are now on our journey to the marina where the boat will be moored for winter.

 Today we officially complete our summer trip and tomorrow we say our goodbyes to Peter and Dianne.
So tonight we had a Thai meal in Burton on Trent and tomorrow we head to the marina near Rugby.

Last Sunday Helen,Tim and Heather joined us for the day and helped us cruise from Nottingham to Trent Lock.
The following day Peter and Dianne joined us for a ten day cruise and tonight we are moored in Alrewas.
