The Maisibert
This is a record of our travels and experiances as we travel on our narrowboat The Maisibert
Tuesday, 11 August 2009
We moored where the white water centre for the 20012 Olympics is being created.
This was once a car park.
The last couple days we have stayed at Waltham Abbey so that we can cruise on to Paddington Basin for the weekend.
This weekend we are meeting Hilary's relations from New York and my brother Ray on Sunday.
Thursday, 6 August 2009
Today we cruised to Rye House where we saw the Kart owners
put
their machines through their paces.
We passed another one of the Heartwood family today.
Slow Pace was on her moorings at Stanstead Abbots.
We also gave Ralph some lock training.
On Wednesday we had an extra crew member.
Ralph received his training from Craig as they cruised the boat from Hertford to Ware.

This photograph shows one of the glass panels.
The bridge rails are manufactured of steel and glass panels with different designs.
The Maisibert and Craig wait for us to set the lock at Parndon Mill

Red sky at night
shepard's
delight, I hope so.
This picture was taken at Burnt Mill lock at Harlow.
Tuesday, 28 July 2009
On our trip back from Bishops Stortford we are soaked by a very sharp shower at least the sun was shining some where.
We were also getting ready for a visit from Jenny,Mel and Harvey the dog.
As we leave Bishops Stortford we see this interesting bridge crossing the river.
Monday, 27 July 2009
This is Parndon Mill just as we appproach Harlow Town.
I am a bit behind as I have had trouble up loading photographs.
The Fish and EEl pub at Dobb's Weir looks like a good place to moor and have a drink.
Tuesday, 21 July 2009
The Maisibert in one of the locks as we head our way to the river Stort.
Saturday, 18 July 2009
Office space available on the River Lee
The new Olympic site taken shape for the 2012 games.
How green is our river?
As we travelled up the river Lee it was covered in weed, although B.W. had boats out trying to clear it they seemed to be losing the battle.

Our moorings for the night at Limehouse Basin
Large lock gates open to allow a
yacht
to travel from the tidal Thames to the Regents Canal
The Maisibert leaves the tunnel at Islington
I think this pub may have music at weekends
A floating
Chinese
restaurant
moored near London Zoo in Regents park.
Rita and Scoobie had a friend join us from Canada to travel to the Lee and Stort.
We are leaving the Grand Union joining the Regents Canal
