Monday, 3 July 2023

Well we made it and are awaiting an engineer tomorrow morning.

Of course this meant we had to be towed through the locks and the last three had to be entered in reverse.

We made it to the link and had to wait until levels dropped to get under a bridge after that is when things went wrong, the cable snapped to the gearbox and was stuck in reverse this meant the boat shot back the tillar hit the bank and the tillar arm knocked me off the boat.

As we crossed the link things went well overheating only the once but the dogs were not impressed.

Today started so well as last night there was no chance of us travelling the link but this morning we got the news that we would be going as the wind had dropped.

Sunday, 2 July 2023

We had a lonley cruise today only seeing some walkers on our trip, we reached Tarleton only to find the boats that should have crossed today still there because of the high winds, it dosn't look good for us tomorrow.

There was a very bright moon over the mooring last night
