Yesterday we thought we would have a long wait at Watford Locks as we arrived there was only one boat in front of us.
Travelled to Crick for shopping via Crick Tunnel on to the other side of Yelvertoft to get a signal for Zooming.

Saturday, 5 September 2020

Today was Baptism of Fire as we tackled the locks to come out of Braunston and travel through Braunston Tunnel.
Very busy with boats especially in the tunnel on the bends but arrived at Norton Junction but not before we had to tow a boat which was stuck.

Friday, 4 September 2020

After returning to the boat we are now heading South on the Grand Union where tonight we had a evening with Jackie and John.

We have had a short trip down the Ashby Canal before we had to return to Essex.

Pandemic, Technical Issues, Funerals have delayed the first cruise this year but we have managed to get away.

Saturday, 21 March 2020

Hilary was given a voucher for her birthday towards a meal at a local restaurant and by chance we chose to have the meal last Sunday which was the right choice as the virus has shut all pubs and restaurants.

Last Saturday we had Maisie and Poppy stay and had a baking day making buns, bread and bread and butter pudding

Wednesday, 11 March 2020

On March 3rd it would have been mums birthday and The Maisibert would be 12 years old so a trip to Chelmsford Crematorium before heading to the boat for six days.
I went to the boat to upgrade the central heating by installing three radiators with the help of Craig on the Saturday and Sunday.

Sunday, 1 March 2020

The last few weeks have been spent working on the boat and catching up with friends and family.
On our way to the boat we popped into Harlow to put flowers in memory of Hilary's brother and mum.
Last weekend we had our annual visit to see Sue and Dave which as usual a wet and windy weekend.
