 Moved on today passing the Anderton Lift and few strange people on the towpath.
We had to get to the Barnton and Saltersford tunnels as they are one way traffic tunnels and you are only allowed travel through only certain times.

Ruby now chills out and is coming a proper boating dog.
Which is good as to day we had a seven hour trip taking in the views of TaTa's brine processing plant.

Today we cruised down sixteen locks and after taking the dogs for a play it was time to have a pint or two in the Shroppie Fly.
Even Father Christmas needs a holiday and a few pints.

After a over night stay in Gnosall Heath today we have moved on to Market Drayton to take on supplies and carry out repairs and give The Maisibert her first wash of the summer.

 Had a hard day today as we completed the Wolverhampton 21 as we now head up the Shropshire Union Canal.

Today we are moored in the Black Country Museum so fish and chips cooked in lard for dinner.
Early start tomorrow to get down the Wolverhampton 21 and on to the Shropshire Union Canal.

We have had a wet couple of days in Birmingham so what do you do is visit the local historic places.
Today we visited the last remaining back to back houses owned by the National Trust.
Followed by a meal in Estilo Spanish restaurant in Gas Street Basin.

  7am start this morning so let the dogs out for a run big puddles on the towpath after the heavy showers last night.
Ruby and Cassie run off when I call them back Ruby comes running and jumps a puddle only to jump straight into the canal.
Travelling under Spaghetti Junction and completing 26 locks travelling under the B.T. Tower to moor on Farmers Bridge moorings in Birmingham for a couple of days.

 We are currently moored Fazeley Junction Ruby is now on a extended lead so that she can join Cassie at the back.
She is also learning from Cassie to look around the side to get the best view.

Today the 2016 summer trip officially started as we left Burton to moor in Alrewas.
Ruby had a mixed trip whinging some of the time but eventually she settled down.

Peter and Diane joined us at Burton after having their boat blacked on the River Soar.
They were delayed due to last weeks cold weather so I took the opportunity to fit rubber buffers to the side of the boat.
