Today the 2016 summer trip officially started as we left Burton to moor in Alrewas.
Ruby had a mixed trip whinging some of the time but eventually she settled down.

Peter and Diane joined us at Burton after having their boat blacked on the River Soar.
They were delayed due to last weeks cold weather so I took the opportunity to fit rubber buffers to the side of the boat.

 Ruby had her first actual cruise today after a shaky start she soon settled into the lifestyle.
Despite hail and snow we are currently moored in Burton on Trent.

To celebrate the joint birthday's of John, Dave and myself it was arranged to take a Maldon Barge on the River Thames.
Although the day was chilly a great time was had by all.

 Blood pressure checked, cholesterol level checked, blood test carried out and Cassie and Ruby have had a bath and haircut.
So we are ready to rock and roll.

Yesterday Darren had his legs, chest and stomach waxed raising £140 in aid of a epilepsy charity.
With Claire's cake sale and Darren being waxed between them they raised £271

Today we had Maisie day as it seemed to be the only sunny day this week.
So it was a visit to Castle Park to the play area and then on to Mc Donald's for lunch.

 Tonight we celebrated Claire and Craig's 29th birthday.
Claire made a his and hers cake

Today James and Andy joined us for lunch, Ruby and Andy enjoyed playing in the garden.

 Today we paid our last respects to Hilary's Aunty Mary.

Last night we attended a surprise get together to celebrate Dave's 60th earlier in the week.
The great evening was arranged by Sue, Helen and Adam.

 Yesterday we had Jackie and John visit and enjoyed the day with lunch in the Dragon in Willington.
Today Carol and Phil visited we had a walk around the marina followed by lunch and then we took all three dogs across the field to play ball.

Engine serviced, new diesel filter body fitted, new starter battery and hopefully the overheating problem cured.
So we are ready to rock and roll.

 Back at the marina and Cassie and Ruby enjoy playing ball in the winter sun.

 We had tea last night with Claire, Darren and family, the girls are really growing now.

 Today would have been mum's birthday, still sorely missed.
Also today The Maisibert went into the water eight years ago.

Yesterday we said our last goodbye to our dear friend Caroline.
