Happy Birthday Mum we still miss you and The Maisibert is seven today.

Whilst Cassie is back on the boat she enjoys the different area's to play ball and then chill out in the cratch area.

 Today Steph and Steve from Cover Co. came to fit the new side curtains and hatch cover.
Despite Steve badly injuring his hand yesterday and ending up in A.& E. they managed to complete the job so that we could use the cratch area tonight.

Last couple of days Mavis and John have been staying in the area, last night we had a meal in the Green Man in the village, tonight we had a meal on the boat.

 When we are back on the boat Cassie enjoys a lot of cuddles.

 Today was doing the last items in the cratch area, when we went to the Range the other day I saw a conduit to hide the satellite cable the only problem was it was bright white.
So going back to the car spraying days and a tin of paint that we purchased back in Essex I managed to spray it blue.
Then I fitted a cover above the door as suggested by Craig.

It has been a busy week getting the cratch board ready for the cratch to be measured for the side curtains today.
Thanks to brother Ray for his help in getting the timber ready.
We did find time to have a meal with John and Jackie earlier in the week in Gayton.

Yesterday afternoon we took Maisie to Crazy Kids in Braintree finishing the day off with Claire, Craig, Darren, Maisie and Poppy coming to us for a meal

The last few weeks we have caught up with family and friends in Essex.
Those we missed this time  we will catch up with on our next trip back.

Thursday and Friday Jackie and John took a break from Gayton Marina and joined us in Essex.
On Friday we took a mystery tour of Essex ending up having tea and cakes on one of the Maldon Barges

 Yesterday Cassie enjoyed playing on the deserted beach at Frinton on Sea when we went to visit Trish and Brian.

This weekend we had a great time with Sue and Dave in Gravesend
Although it was very cold we managed to take Cassie for long walks in Jeskyns Park on both days.
But we soon warmed up with good food and plenty  of wine.

This weekend we had great time with Judy and Graham in Brighton.
We sampled a lot of local beers and were shown the local sights.

 The internal wood in the cratch area has been stained and varnished and the steel angle has been covered with oak.

 This weekend I have replaced the timber on the front of the cratch which I used to repair the cratch when we damaged it on the Thames.

 The morning we returned to the boat was a very foggy morning, hoping it would clear before we set out but had to endure it all the way back to the marina.

 Before we left Braintree we paid a visit to the crematorium to lay the Christmas Wreath near Mum and Dad's plaque.

 Last night we saw 2014 out and the new year in at the Bocking Club where a friends band played and a great night was had.
